I wanted to share a little bit about myself and how I've been working on improving. Maybe someone that will read this will be in a similar situation. To start off, I just turned 30 years old. I never kissed a girl or had any sexual experiences until I was 27. This was mainly due to religious reasons, and partly due to some shyness and social anxiety that I had when I was a teenager. I'm average height 5'9" a healthy weight and I've always stayed active by playing sports or jogging. I never considered myself bad looking and I never had any self confidence issues with my appearance.

Growing up, I was in a private school throughout middle school and high school. Everyone was told to hold on to your virginity until marriage. I grew up in a bubble that separated me from what everyone else was experiencing in public school. Ok, not all of it, but in terms of sexual experiences, all of my friends and I were way behind once we got out of high school and into college. This is frustrating because all of our parents and grandparents went to public school back in the day and had a way different experience than we did. There were only a few girls I was interested in and they all liked the guys that were popular or who had the most muscular body (nothing new). I didn't have any confidence in myself at the time to ask anyone out and I was discouraged by the fact they showed interest in other guys. I never gave myself a chance.

I went to college at a local school. It was a good school but everyone commuted there and lived at home. Not many people hung out at campus. Due to some social anxiety I had at the time, I never joined a club or a fraternity. I finally got the balls to ask a couple girls I liked. I got shot down both times. That hit me hard and I really didn't pursue anyone else.

When I turned 25 I wanted to change everything. My friends were away at grad school. Some were about to get married. As for me, I felt like I was just getting started in life. I eventually made the biggest decision of my life and that was to go away to school for another degree. This time, I wanted to go to the place that had the most people and what would give me the best opportunity to meet women and make new friends. I eventually got accepted to the biggest school in my state and immediately got involved in various clubs. I even helped start a fraternity that was coming back to campus which had been inactive for a decade. At 25 I was a little bit older than other college seniors, but only by a couple years so I still fit in with them. Being a little bit older also helped me become more comfortable for some reason.

After a couple years had passed it was crazy to me how much I'd changed. My social anxiety was going away and I felt way more confident. All I had to do was talk to women and not fear being rejected. I went to a ton of parties, danced with attractive girls, made out with girls at the bar, got numbers, did a dance competition with girls, and went on some dates. Yeah I got rejected plenty of times still, but it felt better knowing i tried.

I had opportunities to lose my virginity in college, but I always wanted to lose it to someone I found attractive. I could have hooked up with some girls who were chubby or not very attractive, but I never pursued that. After that second time at college, it felt like a redo of my previous 4 years. In the last year I went on more dates than I did the first 26 years of my life. Even this past week, I went back to the college I graduated from for a football game. I ended up hooking up with a hot 22 year old and spent the night at her place. I still have more to work on, but I want to continuously improve.

If you decide to go to college and can afford going away for school, its a great opportunity to meet people. You can join clubs, make new friends (they can have girlfriends who have single friends), be social with your classmates, or join a fraternity if you feel like you can fit in with the guys there. For me, it helped me change for the better.
