It's still relatively new in the school year so you're still meeting new people! If you see someone on campus or leaving class, ask how they're liking classes/the class you both just came out of. Ask where they're originally from. Ask if they played sports in high school. Ask if they're doing any intramurals or other on-campus activities. If you've seen an amazing movie recently, ask if they saw it. This can lead into casual convo from there. "Oh, you're from XYZ? I've heard of it but never been. What's in like there?" "Oh, you played XYZ sport in HS? So did I! What position did you play" "Oh, you saw that movie too? What did you think about it?" You can always find common ground somewhere. If it goes along well, ask when she usually has lunch/dinner in the dining hall and tell her you'll say HI the next time you see her there (and make it a point to go during that time frame). If she doesn't go to the dining hall, ask if/which frat parties she's gone to and try and casually bump into her. If she goes to the gym, go to the gym and casually bump into her! If there's a connection, ask to meet up for lunch one day or go over class material together one day. You can't force the connection but if it's there, make a plan to get together. You got this.
