From my personal experience, pretty similar to yours, stop thinking, or think aloud. Who you really are will naturally come out. I usually had problems where I would freeze (that still happens during the day, so I'm not there yet, but I'm getting better so I'm not in a hurry). I focused too much on fickle things. Do not look at girls like lambs that you would want to eat. Get a breath of air and focus on having fun. If you have fun, you will not stress. If you have fun, people will look at you and say dammit, I want to have fun too. Transmit that vibe.

Those girls, did you think 'I would have so much fun dancing with them'? No. You thought 'I will get ridiculed' or something of the sort. Of course you would get bummed out. But lack of confidence and self esteem are not a valid reason. You are able to have fun with friends right?

Just think that everyone in the world is your friend. Have fun.

As for the thing of not knowing how to talk to girls. Don't bother thinking about it. It will get better with time once you get past yourself bumming out.

That's my personal experience.

Advice from the future: remember how you felt in that day, when you missed that opportuinity. Now everytime you will not take that shots, that feeling will amplify A LOT and you'll end up in hell. Quite scary? I know, imagine that regrets are haunting you for the rest of your life.

I don't think the lack of knowing how to game is what stops you from taking action, but you can still do research. I think that you can relate a bit with Neil Strauss so I recommend his book The game.

Let me ask you a question that will help you think about this differently.

Can you explain to me what it looks like after you talk to that cute girl? Is it a positive or negative experience in your mind?

How can your life change by talking to her? Will nothing special happen or will there be a significant change? How would you feel if you did it?
