There is this girl I work with. I have been liking her for a while now, so I finally worked out the courage to ask her out. Sadly she said no, but I feel great I got rejected rather than not asking at all. Things didn't get awkward or anything because as soon as she said no, I said it was fine, cracked a joke and moved on to an entirely different topic. If things continue going well in the future I will ask her out a second time, but for now I will give her time to be more comfortable around me.

I am happy I asked her out.
