I follow the Message Game way of doing it and just send a message when I want to set up a date. Sometimes I don't reply for days or even weeks. Messaging needs to come with purpose. If you're messaging back and forth and you haven't even met, you're wasting your time.

You don't need to message her constantly to 'keep it warm'.

It’s all about showing who has power over relationship. Basically you are sending message to her:

“I am the one who is willing to walk away from you, not the other way around.”

Although this may look like something very unimportant, but when relationship unfolds this actually will be deciding factor who will be a decision maker and who will be the follower in a relationship.
