I'm a 30 year old who broke off a 5 year relationship this week. Realised it wasn't for me and I've been considering what I want from life. In terms of dating, I definitely feel like I didn't make the most of my early 20s. It took a long time for me to accept and realise my true self-worth but I know I'm good looking, like an 8 or maybe a 9 with the right grooming, and I appear to dress well and get compliments for it. But like many on here I've struggled with social anxiety and it held me back for a long time - I've chipped away at it over the years and it's a lot better, but I definitely have strong approach anxiety still.

Anyway, I went out last night, initially to a music gig I'd planned for a while. Been a pretty crazy week and initially I wasn't even sure I would try and actively flirt with girls, but after the gig I went to a bar and just thought fuck it - partly because of the posts I read from people on here around taking initiative and avoiding excuses, I just decided to go for it - so thanks people!

I headed to a trendy bar with lots of seating areas. I met up with my sister there and she was cool with just hanging back and doing her own thing as I went over to people. Over the course of the evening I approached four different groups of women, sat down with them and just went from there. I got two phone numbers - I would say they were all warm approaches cos in each case I would look for one of the girls giving me the sustained eye contact before I made a move. What I found was that all the groups genuinely seemed to be cool with me coming over to sit and chat with them, which was obviously encouraging for me - I remember being so shit scared of doing this sort of thing when I was younger, even if I was getting the eye fucks from one of the girls, and I've also seen a few posts on here about some Brit girls not being receptive to strangers coming over on nights out.

Definitely still need to work on my game though, also had slightly too much to drink at the gig and that definitely dulled my brain sharpness a bit in convos.

So questions:

Is there specific game advice resource you would recommend for talking to groups of girls solo? I feel like I did an OK job of engaging with the entire group, not just the one I fancied, but 'OK' is not 'great' and I want to escalate better.

As a Brit, the whole daygame concept seems alien to me, but it's intriguing. I'm interested if guys in the UK that are in one of the smaller cities approach this? I guess I feel in a smaller city I'm more likely to run into the same girls, so I'd wondering if people have found value in the daygame outside of London?

Once again - thanks people - I've definitely taken a bit chunk out of my approach anxiety thanks to this sub, and I'm looking forward to working on my game thanks to this place.
