Hey guys, I'm gonna need your advice on this one and thoughts on what I've possibly done wrong.

So I'm 24, in a good shape, decent education, job, car and my own place.

Met this girl in metro, we were staring at each other for a minute, then just got her number. She's only turning 19 soon, first year in uni (do you guys call it freshmen?), and she "didn't have a lot of experience with guys", from a small town and pretty shy.

Anyway, we had couple dates, kisses on the second one, then just invited her to my place for the third one to watch a movie.

Everything looked nice, I made some cocktails, we were having drinks, dancing, kissing, the whole evening I was trying to escalate by kissing her neck (she was trying to avoid after couple kisses),massaging, but she was stopping me from getting under her pants and bra all the time. Did it many times with a few breaks where I just kind of walked away to something, she would come back to me and hug/kiss but with no access to anything.

She said the uni campus is only open till 1am so she had to go back, I told her she can stay and she said "did you really think I would stay?", something like that. Anyway I was not pushing her to stay, just joked around that she can sleep on the other sofa and I'm not gonna touch her. She asked me to walk her back, I said that she can go if she wants, but I'm not going. After 10 minutes of "let's go, please walk me back" I walk her maybe 1/3 way and tell her I'm going to my friends place then, so she should go. She kisses me and wishes a good night.

What did I do good/wrong? Why would she come to my place if she didnt want sex, or maybe I had to push/try harder? What should I do next? Invite her again for the same scenario in a few days? Or maybe wait a bit till she calls me or something?

She also asked "how comes you don't have a girlfriend?" and when I was trying to laugh it off she would say "no, but seriously"so I said we broke up (mistake?). What was the better answer?
