Yesterday was a social dancing event. I'm heartbroken after that. There were many girls out there, young freshmen too. I had a really good time with a cute girl who was a freshmen. We spent a good hour and a half together. But I guess I repeated the same mistake of putting all eggs in the same basket at the event.

Here it goes. Social starts at 8pm. Lessons for beginners end by 9ish. By that time, we were rotating partners and I get to know many girls. I find two of them attractive. I dance with them, mostly interested in conversations, had fun moving around too. After the dance, I make conversation, mostly along the get-to-know-you types: what's your major, what is your passion. Also, I think I lost my cover and was complementing them too much. They were keen on joining their girlfriends after the dance and conversation was over. I wanted to hold it on for longer.

The I met this cute girl who seemed lost. She was shy at first. So, I took some time to teach her the steps which went for a while. I was making jokes, she was giggling like anything, she was really shy and I liked the cuteness, we were dancing stupidly, it was fun. I had all the reasons to be in contact with her physically and she was having fun too. I was holding her hands (to dance, of course), touching her back, neck a couple of times, lifting her chin up once in a while. It was sensual, for me at least 😂. But I don't think I flirted with her, or enough. Pretending to be an astrologer to make predictions by holding her hands was one if that counts. She was more like, hey one of my friend did this too, and was laughing. All this time, I ignored everyone at the social: my friends and other girls.

The Close: Event got over by midnight. We were standing together, I went to grab my coat, she leaves with a feeble bye. I went to quickly get a closing. Asked her why she disappeared so mysteriously, she stopped, was trying to come up with something, didn't really have an answer. Then I asked her when am I seeing her next, she was like that's so cheesy, and was clearly blushing like anything. I asked for her number, she was like I'm not into boys and it was awkward. I offered to give my number, but she was not really into doing anything with boys. We were returning in the same bus, she told me about her religious beliefs and her conservative family. So, that was that.

From a personal perspective, I think I have come a long way from where I was 6 months back. Being lonely I had the typical AFC mindset, I was frustrated and depressed to the mind of contemplating if life's worth it. Now I am more optimistic and realistic, taking charge, going out there trying to have a good time not only with girls but also myself. If you guys can suggest something, any creative ideas or just a word of encouragement, that means a lot. Cheers.
