Obviously if it was a movie night or some drinks it's not really their choice anymore to decide if it will happen or not.

There are other ways to interact digitally while in isolation: video calls, watch movie together, play game online, etc. Maybe this is an opportunity to win them over with your personality.

I feel at this point I’m programmed to believe it’s a shit test.

There are some shitty coaches out there still recommending to go out and approach and all that other stuff and to treat the current situation as a shit test.

These people are being irresponsible and endangering the public health of everyone.

That said, it's completely natural, what you're posting about here. With no way to effectively date right now, it's natural to want to look for a way to justify doing so anyway.

The sad truth is that everything is kind of shut down right now and we have to wait.

I had a couple things set-up and all of them fell through due to “social-distancing.”

All situations are not created equal. There might be some decent situations in the lot that are worth texting here and there throughout the crisis. In order to know, you'd have to tell more.

What sort of things did you have set up?
How did you set them up?
How did you meet them?
What exactly happened when things fell through?
