How to talk to the girl next door?

Is this oneitis? Which means, is she the only girl you're interested in right now? Usually this is a bad thing because women have an instinct which tells them if you have a lot of dating options, or if you're desperate and you don't date a lot of women. They often reject a guy like this because they don't want to get involved with a guy who will be emotionally dependent on them.

It might seem like a paradox, but many women prefer to date men who are also interested in other women ... because that way she won't be responsible for trying to prop up his self esteem.

Short answer: get interested in lots of women, practice conversation on all of them and don't get a big crush on any of them where you think, "I will only be happy if this one girl likes me."
