So today I was with my friend at a pool and I saw this beautiful girl swimming couple of meters from us. My friends immediately started convincing me to approach her. I really wanted too but I just couldn't get myself to do it. So I swam a few times back and forth, peeking at her, she was now chilling alone in the water - a great opportunity. Still no action from me.

I wasn't very happy about myself. Since I really haven't done any cold approach before I was really hoping to do it this time. I said to me that I owe it to myself, reflected on all the previous situation where I said okay, next time I'll do it for sure. Now it was that time, right? I started wondering what I will say. Luckily for me, she was wearing a black cap as the only one at the pool so that was some material to work with. Also I heard somewhere that if you are approaching a stranger you should ask if it's ok to f.e. sit next to her.

So her I was with some sort of plan in head. I looked around to see where she was. She was laying on a lounger with only a few people next to her. A perfect opportunity which could be the last one as well. I said to myself that I am doing this now and I got off the pool. I was a bit stressed and started feeling the anxiety a bit but that couldn't stopped me. No matter what happens I will be okay, right? I started walking towards her. There was no way out of this.

After couple of seconds I got to her (finally). As planned I asked if I can sit next to her. She said yes and we started chatting. I told her that she was the most beautiful girl in a hat I saw today to which se replied thank you. After that there was some small talk about school, interest, etc. She was really friendly and mostly she was the one asking questions which I frankly didn't expect. After it felt like the conversation dried up I ask her for contact - ig or snap to which she replied she didn't have a lot of photos there but handed me a phone. I searched up my profile and hit follow. After that I said I was glad to talk to her and said goodbye.

Now a lot of thoughts were on my mind but one really stood out. It was easy. I couldn't believed how easy it was. I didn't asked the best questions but there I was with what seemed like successful approach. It was a bit weird, I was expecting I would be really anxious but I barely was. I realized that this was the beginning. The beginning which I've been anticipating for so long. I was really happy that it finally happened and started looking forward for more.

You can read so much books, seek many advice but if you don't test it in practice you won't move forward. This is what drove me and what will drive me as well in the future.

Last thing to add is that I checked the pool after a few hours to see if she was there because I'm on a vacation and there is a chance I won't see her again. She was still there so I chatted with her a bit more.
