Kind of hard now a days so it depends. Go by the area and why you are there. Soooo-what brings you here? Then follow up with your name and ask hers. Then talk about the situation and build off of that. Usually branch off that and always have a story/intention built around what you want from there.

Depending on where you are, you could comment/ask about something in the place that you're at.

The most obvious example of this would be that if you're at a bar, and you approach the person you're interested in, you could say something like, "Hey, have you been here before? What's good here?"

Once they answer you could thank them and be like, "By the way, my name's ___. What's yours?"

This might be kinda hard depending on where you are due to COVID, but something like that seems to work well.
