Something I’ve always struggled with was dealing with rejection. Often times it would take it very personally and sometimes go so far as straight up insulting the person, or at a minimum resort beating myself up over being turned down. In other words, it could ruin a whole day or night.

To the more experienced seductors on here it might seem like common sense that the best way to deal with rejection is with apathy and a neutral, or at least measured response. And in some cases, a mature reaction to rejection might eventually result in that individual coming around, though you should never “expect“ it, or you’re just setting yourself up for potential disappointment.

I said multiple experiences with this, but I will share an example that occurred yesterday. Long story short I had been talking to a girl that I met online, she was not the best texter, and eventually she responded with an apology and simply stated that she wasn’t really looking for anything serious. I told her “it’s OK, I was beginning to realize you’re probably not my type anyway so no hard feelings” to which she almost immediately replied “yeah you’re definitely not my type.”

On the surface this might seem like I lost, I got insulted, I should be angry. But no, her response reads that of a woman who did not get the last laugh. Of course most women are not literally laughing when they reject a man, but it’s a subliminal confidence boost to know someone wants her, but cannot have her. By depriving her of that pleasure you are at least taking away any high horse she might have been riding, if not outright pulling her attention back to you as an object that has suddenly become less accessible than initially assumed.

In a social setting it is a little more difficult, but still possible, to have this effect. Many men will go wallow in self pity upon being turned down at a bar/club etc. But a confident man will just jump right to the next girl, or, in some cases might even leave the bar with a few new buddies. If anything, having a good time without a female influence breeds envy. Admittedly with COVID going on my perfecting this skill has been limited, but it has yielded some positive results.

A “last but not least” example would be with a former friend with benefits; a casual conversation developed into talking about dating, and our “types.” To which she very bluntly stated I wasn’t her type. I quickly rebuked that she wasn’t mine either, so it’s good we’re on the same page, and added in a laugh for good measure. She immediately took offense and asked me what I meant. Needless to say she was clearly bothered by the fact I wasn’t trying to plead my case, and had instead thrown the same energy in her direction.

I hope this might help anyone who struggles with rejection, or specifically coping with it as most of us will experience more rejection than success in our lifetimes.
