You aren't a terrible person for not wanting to skype and text endlessly during a pandemic; this is not how dating usually is and you're right to be frustrated.

I 100% did not want to get stuck in that cycle too as a woman, so, I simply just stopped dating for a bit. I don't see myself meeting people properly or in a fun way that I expect dating to be right now given the pandemic and distancing protocols, etc. Additionally a good handful of people have also decided to not try to date right now who also feel the same as you, so you may be playing with a less serious pool of people who are mostly on the apps due to boredom.

Finding other hobbies and things to keep you sane will definitely help; idk how to help you with the porn thing, but I seem to have read that for some guys avoiding porn and things that remind them of sex makes them want it less and it becomes less difficult to control? IDK, don't take my word for it LOL.

I completely understand the desire to get back out there and date, but I think the better long term move is to help yourself and your community avoid outbreaks of Covid. I'm personally telling myself that it's a break from dating and trying to focus on me for a while. It's honestly not been that bad.
