So American whose live allot of other places. American girls reject hard and I think American girls have an inflated sense of SMV.

Also its a consumerist society and lots of passive activies. Less sports clubs for ameteurs, traveling often, vacation time, sitting at cafes, clubs are less try hard compared to Europe broadly.
