I spent three years unemployed (my entire department got fired over night), I spent a year of that homeless and hiding from the child support police. I finally did something I had to do to get the CS police off my back and get a place to stay. I got legit and now two years later I am getting back on my feet financially. I'm back in an entry level job in my field but it's steady work. I'm finally able to buy some clothes and start eating healthy food. I'm building a wardrobe from scratch and working out. I also started doing low carb/calorie counting. (you would imagine that a broke guy would be skinny, but eating carbs and depression eating with little to no exercise will pack it on).

I've been through the all the redpill stages. Being homeless and couch surfing really drove it home. Nobody cares about you at all. You may have a handful of bros who will help you and one or two females who will give you hand but that's it. Those are your true friends. Everyone else doesn't give a shit (and those women pity you, they don't want to date you).

When you are broke, old clothes, no money, saddled with debt, women can smell the low value on you. I really haven't thought about women at all until the last few months when it finally sunk in that the lights won't get cut off and all the bills are paid.

I started being social again. Going to events, getting involved in the community and participating in life again. I met a really cool 22 year old on one of my jobs (not an employee, a friend of a client). We've been talking and tomorrow night we are going on a date. My first real date in 5 years. I'm not picking her up in my beat up ride, meeting her at the bar. I honestly not even trying to close a deal, I'm just going out for the experience of hanging out with a pretty girl.

Now before you peg me as some aspie with no social skills. I've probably closed about 50+ girls between college and my stint as a club dj, but that was when I was young and cut. I went beta for one particular girl, had a kid, went more beta to make her happy gave up all my fun shit and moved in with her, went more beta and turned down strong career moves because she didn't want to move and then she started cheating on me. We split, I pay the child tax, lose my job and here we are. So now I'm ready to start living my life again and having fun.
