well this is the golden question in life. too much pleasure in life and your a hedonist. not enough pleasure and you live a miserable life. its all about balance. practice and experience(past failure and successes) plays a huge part. as a person that has struggled with drugs in my life I can tell you that BALANCE makes all the difference.but i will try to give you some objective advice.

girls want a man that will lead and take charge, but they dont want to be led by "force" they want to gravitate towards you. the difference between advanced guys and novice guys is this concept. whereas most novice guys are insecure and not confident they try to do things by force. this generally come sin the form of them being pushy and very "chasey" advanced guys understand the "laws of attraction" and let the law of human nature do all the work. for example. if i want a ball to travel at 15mph there are multiple ways i can do it. I could use the kinetic energy in my shoulder and throw the ball( using force). or i could walk to the top of a house and drop the ball ( the laws of physics would dictate that gravity(a natural force) would take over and do the work for me. in mechanics this concept is called a simple machine

" an example being levers. sorry to get philosophical. so that is part 1 . you must lead and take initiative but you must do it not forcefully. the second part is pulling away. the girl also wants to have to work and put effort into the relationship. what gives someone more pride. to go to a store and buy a plant? or to buy the seeds and water is everyday to watch it grow. where most guys get it wrong is that only one thing can happen at once. she can not chase you if you are chasing her. for this reason you take charge, but you must also leave/give her enough distance to where she has the opportunity to water the seeds and watch them grow.
