I think you should forget what happened, and start afresh. Don't ignore her and plan an actual date with her, not asking to join her "plans."

If she behaves like she did last time and doesn't show up on date, you know it's time to let go of her. And I think you should somehow clearly convey her that you are not there for friendship! Tell her that you are interested in her.

The reason I want you do one more trial with her is that she's not ignoring you, but trying to talk to you despite what happened. That means there's some hope. In the end, it isn't costing you money so why not take one more shot?
