The way I do things is I set up a date with a girl through the dating app and when it's all set, we exchange contact details to make sure we can find each other on the day of and maybe iron out some details on the days between our date.

I'm usually able to set up a date within an hour if both me and the girl have time to sit and chat and not take hours to respond to each other.

Getting their contact details that early on hasn't negatively impacted girls actually showing up for our dates. And I don't believe it's that important of a factor.

What's more important is how attracted and connected she feels to you.

Also, getting a girl's number doesn't need to be an event. That's really just another gratuitous dating ritual like buying flowers. Just exchange contacts out of necessity.

By the way, notice how I say "exchange contact details" instead of "exchange numbers"? That's because depending on where you are in the world, SMS and calling through networks might not be the primary way she communicates with people anymore.

So don't concern yourself with the whole romantic gesture of exchanging numbers, really just look at this practically, just focus on what's the best way of staying in touch with a specific girl.
