Firstly I’m sorry to hear about your story and hope alls ok. in terms of openers, try and base the conversation on them. Tease them and be brave. “You know if you stare at me like that again I’m going to have to introduce myself to your group!” or “hey! I saw you looking in my direction and wanted to say hi” or ask them a random ice breaker question that gets them talking, “who’d win in a fight, would you rather, what do you think about insert popular story here? keep it interesting, intriguing and fun.

Simple. Bold. Brave. Then if the conversation goes well, you can escalate and get flirty. Don’t do it straight away as you will likely scare them. You need to let them know that you are a person of worth and trust and you show that through intent, body language and respect.

If you get turned down, their loss. It’s a numbers game at the end of the day. Be yourself and don’t apologize for it. Also keep in mind Tone of voice is very important. Keep it playful, cheery and open. Assert confidence and dominance. Let them know your calling the shots without being a douche or putting on a false personality. When they see you project natrual confidence they’ll reply back in equal measure. And if they don’t, you know who not to be around then and can carry that experience on to the next.
