I (M44) met a beautiful woman on an apartment remodeling job I was working on and immediatley felt a strong emotional attraction to her. Problem was, I was married. Over the course of a few weeks, she (F28?) and I talked in person and via text about some web design ideas and changes I needed to make to my website and that was a field she had a good amount of experience in.

Fast forward four months and I have gotten a divorce and she has moved about an hour north. I reach out again to pickup where we left off with the website makeover and she is still fully on board.

As of right now, our text communication is spuratuc and 95% business. But this is someone I absolutely want more with. While she is extremely nice and supportive, I don't know if she has any of those same thoughts or feelings. But as of now, I have kept everything very professional and haven't led on any of my thoughts and feelings towards her.

We have a meeting planned in about a week to go over some of the details of the project in person. I have to shoot my shot even with a high probability of rejection. And transitioning out of the friend zone is not an area I have typically excelled in.

Guys: who of you have made this work and what was your strategy?

Gals: how the hell does a guy get out of the friend zone?
