Recently, when going to open a set (3+), I will open on one of the non-targets, obviously, but after a few laughs or what not, it seems that one of the non-targets will basically isolate me and the rest will follow. The girl that isolates me is DTF, but I am "shut off" in a sense from the rest. It seems to happen fast too, one girl will be next to me or come up to me and ask me something/whatever and by the time I give my answer, I am isolated. My guess would be I am turning into her too much, or investing too much attention into her.

I am looking for input on the situation. Should I be focused on the lesser girl, and then leave--> re-open the whole set later? Or, should I be trying to re-open the set immediately? I know every situation is different, but I am just looking for an outside opinion.
