Gentlemen, I'm at a loss here and am wondering what you would do in this situation.

My soon to be ex wife intends to use her BF's address to enroll our kids in school next year. She's living with family in a different county. As far as I know, she won't be moving in with him any time soon (his wife would never approve. It's a polyamorous situation gone wrong and I'd rather not get into it) and can't currently afford her own place.

I feel like she's doing this as an excuse to keep the kids during the week, relegating me to weekends only for custody.

This particular school district requires an affidavit from the homeowner/leasee that this is her residence. I know for a fact it isn't, and can prove it with mailing addresses, so submitting this paperwork would be considered fraud.

Things have been as amicable as possible thus far, but I'm pretty pissed about this and trying to figure out what my next move should be.

My ideal state would be for them to go to school in my district, based on my legal residence. This wouldn't affect her much anyway since she doesn't have a 9-5 and it isn't very far away.

No lawyers involved yet, but expect to go through a mediator. How would you guys proceed?
