Hey guys, here's the story. I've known this girl for years, and actually approached her when we were much younger because I felt that she was attracted to me. My game was terrible and my time spent talking with her would consist of sending one another songs. I forgot why, but things got shaky and we didn't speak for a very long time.

Time progresses, and we speak more and I thought I was being more forward this time but when it came time to ask her out she said that she thought of us as simply just friends. Fair enough, I was heart-broken because I seriously thought we had something going on.

Fast-forward to 2015, I message her out of the blue because I saw her somewhere and things pick up. This time I get more intimate with her and extract questions from where that I always had about myself; questions that caused me much doubt and blows to my self-esteem - why this, why that, etc. I find out that she had stopped finding me attractive because I came off too "thirsty" based on what she saw on my IG likes. She additionally told me that twice she had gotten "hot" for me, but that I ruined it when I brought up her friend whom she thought I actually had the hots for and was simply making do for her.

Well things got mended, and I was relieved to find the answers to many of the questions that pervaded my mind. We would talk on the phone for late hours and text all day. But after one day of talks she confessed something to me: the reason she didn't "like me anymore" was because she was still in love with the one who got away. After that things felt hazy, and I noticed that she wouldn't respond to me instantly anymore. Sometimes she'd respond really late, or even the next day.

I got fed up with this and gave her a taste of her own medicine, but one day I think it must've triggered something in her; she ignored me for an entire week, didn't walk to talk on the phone, and even blocked me on another messaging app I know has the "seen by user" function. After this week of feeling like crap, she calls out of the blue like it's all good and refused to give any explanation for her behavior. I pressed, but she said "stop talking about it". Whatever from that moment on, the dynamic changed. No more morning or good night texts from me, long calls, or "deep, non-superficial" talks.

It would be an occasional text every other day, and it was when she wanted to talk (like at 1-2 AM). I would text her one day, and then not get an answer for hours. After a while I ranted asking her what the hell was going on, why the sudden change in behavior from one day to the next? Still no answer, and her answer was simply that I consumed too much of her time and that she was now very busy.

It's a load of crap, how does one suddenly go from an apathetic life of just watching Netflix all day, to suddenly being so busy? I don't know if she's with her EX since he has a new girlfriend.

To wrap things up, I've just begun ignoring her. We had talked the day after I ranted and she had refused to answer my questions or give an explanation, and after asking her a question and saying goodnight I didn't get a response until 2 later days. Was it an answer or an apology? No, it was simply a "hey!". I ignored it during the day, then got another text at 1 with sad emoji and ignored that too. Today I got a screencap of a stupid quote that says "worst feeling: when someone who your care about ignores you". I got that message earlier today, and still haven't replied. What do you guys suggest I do? How do I go about doing anything for this? It's like she's not self-aware and doesn't care about my feelings, but oh when she's the one being ignored it's the worst feeling? No empathy here, she should've seen how I felt that week.

TL;DR Long talks, dispersion | talk>ask her out> rejected | Dispersion, talk> intimacy> confession > Distancing > Apathy and ignored me > Ignoring her back because I'm tired, what do?
