New Coercive Control laws target men

This “coercive control” BS was run by Rose Batty - who’d previously made out she was hit by her ex (who murdered their son), but now it seems she was never hit, but rather subject to “coercive control”!

I think it’s ridiculous that anyone think this is something that men do to women and not the other way around. For significant DV (that causes injury) I can see why people would just assume it’s men hitting women and not the other way round - men typically have 50% more upper body strength than women, and are usually taller and larger than their female partners. So if you look no further (as feminists want) you’d just assume that DV is something that men do to women.

But coercive control? Endless nagging? Endless put downs and shaming? Controlling finances? Stopping the other from contact with their friends? Endless verbal abuse?

This is clearly stuff that women do A LOT! Stereotypically so too! The nagging wife who continually calls her husband a loser; the wife who denies her husband sex as a means of control; the wife who takes his money and gives him a small amount of pocket money (if he’s lucky); the wife who stops her husband from seeing his mates; the wife who bans him from his hobbies or sports. A teacher at my Primary school married a guy who had a couple of horses in harness racing (he was well off, and it was cheaper back then). Apparently she resented the time he devoted to them and the sport - he should have been paying attention to her instead. So she made him get rid of them. Not long after that, they started winning, and she was “sorry” (wanted the status of being in the winners circle). Feminists would call that “coercive control” if it was the other way round.

This is why I refuse to believe feminist claims that they’re only about equality. We have something that women clearly do, and stereotypically do. But they’re recasting it as something MEN do so that only men will get criminal repercussions.

That's insane. First that such thing exists in law. Second it targets men only.

Coercive control isn’t ’nagging or arguing’. It is the control of another human to the point that there is negative impact on their autonomy AND that they suffer fear and alter their behaviour to appease thr controller.
