I am impressed they actually used the word rape in the title. I am assuming the young victim must have been female.

Edit: Article doesn't say the victim's gender which further supports my thought. If it was a male victim they wouldn't protect his privacy.

Ah yes.. just like how every man is treated right?
We do no demonize a man ACCUSED of rape before waiting for him to be charged and /or convicted of the crime do we?

Oh wait...

Now.. to be clear for the lurkers here.. I agree with the statement that we absolutely SHOULD respect the presumption of innocence..
But given how that presumption has been eroded when it comes to men accused I find myself lacking sympathy or ability presume a women is innocent until proven guilty..

IF you have a problem with this.. then maybe start presuming men as innocent until they are proven guilty.. and start calling out women who readily condemn a man just because he's accused of a crime..

Until then, enjoy this new society where in the court system people are innocent until proven guilty, but in the court of social media a person is guilty until proven innocent.
