in my culture Womens have privilege practice their hobbies and genreally have more free time in adulthood since for us mens we have to work asp just to put food in table thus adult mens usually turn casual gamers in mid to late twenties

Lol I certainly didn't have that "leniency" growing up. Maybe it's because I'm the oldest, maybe because I'm male, but as soon as I turned 14 my dad came up to me and said, "son, it's time for you to get a job and learn how to support yourself." So I did, and have been working since.

I can already feel the feminists saying, "Well that's male privilege that you were able to get a job!". It certainly didn't feel like privilege to me. I'd much rather have had the "leniency" to do what I wanted instead

this unfortunately common thing in my country men's expected to enter work culture as soon possible to provide for his family and we never actually choose what job we want in our life . I have bachelor degree but while was studying still have to work to surivive and have to pick college major that increase my odds to find job with stable income. there's no flexibility there's no room for failure bills need to be paid and food need to be put in table some men's have dad's who willing to tolerate there son not having job till they finish college and get job but that it edit ( I grew up with single mom )

There are two ways to look at this. You were “forced” or your dad did exactly what he said. You had to LEARN to support yourself. Did he throw you out? Did he make you drop out of school? Getting jobs while in school teaches you responsibility to employers, time management, and handling your own money.

Hah, I definitely was forced. My dad would drive me up to places and make me walk in and grab an application, which we would then fill out and if go turn in (man I'm getting old)

HOWEVER, I am very grateful for what he did. It sucked then, a lot. But it has shaped my life for the better. I just have to look at my wife. Her parents absolutely FAILED her for the real world, and it was a huge pain cleaning up that mess when we first got married

There's more bias against hiring men today.

you right this because companies want please government employment regulation which encourages them to have more diverse employees ( diversity = women's , disables , foreigners )

"Girls typically perform a lot better in school and at university."

Not in STEM though, right?

[–]usernametakenbs 10 points11 points12 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Men perform better in standardized testing, and female bias in grading is a known factor. Screencap is just straight wrong.

Truuue!

If you insist on ignoring the science of the effects of testosterone, you really have to jump through some hoops to find "societal" causes for the differences between men and women.

Ah yes, reality, which any sane person will note within one second is the realm where men get more leniency than women. 👍
