I'm exercising indirect approach (social) and was in a gym, where everyone is in a class so we do the same excercices and rests.

There was a girl, nice, around 27 struggling because of the workout (she seemed new) and letting out some smile or expression because of it. During a rest I came close where the water was and said "nice shoes", she had a sip to her water so she just noded and kinda smiled). "Are they pink, right" noded again, they looked white I said. And kinda noded again.

Maybe I should have said something more obvious and trivial like "its difficult no?" Or maybe not going so far around the tennis because it was too soon (and the water)
