US |TX | Separated and Filing | 2 Kids

Just looking for a bit of external insight here...

My wife and I have been separated since June of 2024, but due to finances, neither of us were in a position to initiate the official divorce process

Very recently, I got in to a car crash with my son in the car.
By the mercy of God, the universe, whatever, he came out with zero injuries, while I got a pretty good gash on the head (luckily ended up being a very shallow injury that just bled a lot).
I would not have contacted her if our son was not in the vehicle, however I did let her know, as I would certainly want to be notified if the situation was reversed.

She showed up shortly before the ambulance got there, and apparently got her hands on my phone.
Apparently, once I was taken away, she then went through my personal device, in to my personal bank account, and exported all activity data from June of 2024 when we separated up to current day and sent that to herself.
Additionally, she went through all my texts and took roughly 50 screenshots of various conversations and sent all of that to herself as well.
Thanks to the support family and friends, I now have the funds to hire a divorce lawyer and initiate the process.
I meet with them in a few days, but this whole situation just popped up and figured I'd ask.

From some research on my end, I have found multiple statements that this kind of activity is illegal / not permissible when it comes to the legal side of our divorce.
Still, I was looking to see if anyone else might have been through a similar situation (hopefully not the car crash part) and might have some additional insight.

Thank y'all
