New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania in particular.

I have been a lifelong west coast resident and I have some concerns, never have I found my race to be an issue in terms of dating women of other races. My life has been spent in Washington, Colorado, and California and I've done quite well for myself and I was born in Washington so I am westernized. Now I am of Sri Lankan heritage and I do look visibly "Indian". In the near future, I might have to move to this region for grad school.

After lurking on a few reddit subs and some forums, I've read that there is a lot of racism from women of all races towards Indian and Middle Eastern looking men in the dating scene of those areas. A while back, a forum I posted on even had an Indian member who said that he heard a lot of openly racist comments and felt a lot of hostility for dating a white woman in New Jersey. I've also read a lot about how even Indian women avoid Indian men in these areas!

Seems like after looking into it, it seems like outside of white guys (obviously) and black guys, there is a lot of backlash and stigma from women for going after men of the more foreign looking races like Asians, Indians, and Arabs. Now I have never lived in or been to any of these states so I am completely unaware but I have found that women I have met from these states are very cold and closed off.

I'll just ask the New Yorkers, New Jersey, and Pennsylvanian residents of the sub, is there a lot of hostility and a strong stigma towards dating Indian or Middle Eastern men in these areas?
