My husband's ex-wife has recently taken to social media, publicly accusing him of abuse during their marriage. They’ve been divorced for 9 years now, and she has since remarried. Their divorce was extremely messy, and they share custody of their children.
Even after the divorce was finalized, she continued to harass him through emails and messages. No matter what he did—whether it was staying civil, avoiding conflict, or trying to set boundaries—it was never enough.
Now, things have escalated. She’s posting on social media, referring to her “abusive” ex-husband and making serious allegations, including assault. None of it is true. These are damaging lies, and what’s worse is that their children, along with my husband’s family and colleagues, can see these posts.
We are not sure how to handle a situation where false and harmful claims are being shared so publicly, affecting not only our personal life but potentially his professional reputation as well. It's heartbreaking to see how easily a man's name can be dragged through easily.
