As a Forced Parent, before my child was born I asked the child’s mother on multiple occasions if the child was mine?
I was always told “No the child is not yours”!
A Year and a half goes by and I get hit with child support paperwork, I couldn’t believe it!
After all my phone calls and texts asking if the child was mine before that and was repeatedly hit with a “No it’s not your child” I find myself having to deal with the child support system.
I knew the child was a mistake and was something I did not want in my life at that time and still don’t.
I still consulted with an attorney to ask how much a custody case would cost.
My Attorney point blank told me that usually a custody case would cost around 35k but for my Child’s mother I would have to pay upwards of 55k for once a month visitations.
I knew immediately that it was best financially for me to just pay child support and move on and forget any custody visits whatsoever.
For some Men I get why walking away from a child is hard but for me an unwanted child was not worth paying the legal fees in the amount I was being told for something my heart did not desire.
My First Question is how fair is the family law system if one person pays a certain price then another Man is forced to pay a premium price because the child’s mother and family is well known in a small community?
I don’t see the fairness in that.
If a Woman does not want a Father in the Child’s Life then why should he be Forced to Pay child support?
If a Man as myself has no criminal record and steady work history and housing one would think if I wanted or asked to be in a child’s life and was hit with a “No” then a Man in that situation should not have to pay child support.
For Reasons and Cases Like mine I Feel it’s best the United States give Men their Right to a Paper Abortion if the Man did not consent to a child being born.
