Here's what I'm picking up on: this is less about the overarching moral dilemma of cheating, and more about the fact that you were not ready to cheat.

In a sense, you got dragged out of your own frame by this chick you wanted to bang. Now, you're regretting it.

The roles are absolutely 100% reversed.

You need to use this experience to forge your character into one with stronger willpower. If you're going to cheat, do it right. With everything, do not half-ass it, and do not go into uncharted territory without multiple contingency plans.

Personally I despise cheating and you're a weak individual to succumbing to it.

Morals are of your own making. If you cheated and you care about her don't ever admit it.

If she pushes it like "well so and so told me" and she doesn't drop it simply say. "I care about you but I'm not gonna constantly defend myself about something I didn't do. So I'm sorry but this is over"
