I'm a father of two boys. I lost regular contact with them at the start of the school year when a shared care arrangement ended, and I’m now navigating the family court system to try and restore time with them.

I started out trying to self-represent in good faith, but the paperwork, timelines, and legal pressures have been overwhelming. I've spent over $15,000 already, and it feels like I haven’t even scratched the surface. Meanwhile, my former partner has legal representation and appears to have the resources to continue this indefinitely.

I'm keeping this anonymous as proceedings are active, and I don’t want to jeopardise anything. But it’s been tough — emotionally and financially. I’ve launched a fundraiser to help cover the next stages, including interim parenting orders.

If you’ve been through this, or know someone who has, I’d appreciate any advice or support.
