my best friend in HS had an affair with our English teacher. At the time we were all jealous and I sort of didn't believe it until she had a baby that looked just like him. Her husband was a teacher at the same school so looking back it seems like he probably had to know what was going on.

Anyway, fast forward a few decades and now my very good friend who's a big family man with 4 daughters and a crowd of grandkids won't attend any of our class reunions. It's all because of the memories from that experience.

It never dawned on me that a boy could be damaged by such a relationship since we all wish we were in his place at the time but now I really feel for him and what this woman ultimately did to him.
