Thank you for sharing. There's still too little awareness about male victims, and too much of the ignorant perception that it's either too rare or too insignificant to matter.

The discourse surrounding abuse (especially DV/IPV and sexual violence) still overwhelmingly perpetuates the false narrative that it's specifically a women's issue that men are responsible for.

No wonder male victims are less likely to disclose or be recognized as victims in a society that sees "male" and "abuser" as intrinsically linked. And where the response when male victims are brought up is often how it's supposedly "so much worse for women and girls."
