At places where I routinely see ppl (work, certain venues ect), many ppl look down on me, feel uncomfortable around me, especially beautiful women cause that’s whom I feel most uncomfortable and resentful towards cause I feel unfairly judged. Anyway, i know no one owes me anything and I need to get passed this chip on my shoulder, but for instance, if a woman passes me and we make eye contact and she rolls her eyes, I feel a lot of anger, cause I know im a decent guy with a lot to offer and it feels unfair when i get this reputation of… like being looked down on and not given a chance. So i feel like “i gotta fix this, cause these are the ppl i work with and i cant live like this.”
If I approach ppl to chat at work when they’ve already made up their minds about me, it’s a huge up hill battle, if i get ignored or can tell they’re showing contempt, any friendliness at that point is fake cause i just feel rage (trying to be honest here, not trying to say it’s justified rage). But if I just “let it go” then nothing happens. Nothing changes. I have to put myself out there to make a change, and with new ppl at work i have a chance, but ppl get their projection of who you are in their minds and it’s so hard to change once that sticks.
To those of you who have experienced a lot of resentment towards the opposite sex, how have you navigated that in order to remain empowered and honest in your body about what your’e feeling, but still have the friendliness and vulnerability to make the first move cause you know you have to or nothing will happen?
