Hi me and my ex broke up over a year ago. im in £20k debt a lot of it was when we was together. As I was the one who paid all the bills and days out,holidays ect . I have 2 both I brought on finance both paid off. 1 of the cars is worth about 4k(7 seater) the other not much(5 seater) I told my ex im selling the car(7 seater) for 4k and giving her the 5 seater. In order to pay some debts. She is furious saying the car im giving her is not suitable for her needs. We have 4 children and her makes 5 . I do not understand why she says its not suitable for her needs.as there is my 4 kids and her she has a b/f he goes in the car with her is the reason she wants the 7 seater.. Surely that is not my job to make sure she can take him out aswell. My job is making sure my kids have transport.

Also does marital debts count towards child maintenance? We have not set up child maintenance in the past but I believe my ex is going down that route now as im selling the car Basically at least 9k debts was within 7 months of us splitting up £2500 on carpets £3000 tunisia holiday booked 2 weeks before we split up. £2000 on butlins holiday we was on a few days before we split up plus spending money followed by a £800 2 night hotel plus spending money all for us to get back from butlins and the 2 night hotel for her to say we are over. I paid a month in advance on all bills when I left. I walked away with the clothes on my back and had to buy a campervan to live in. Yet she is saying the car is 50/50 split. Where is 50/50 split on every thing in house
