He followed university policy and took appropriate steps to protect himself. What she took away from that was a personal insult.

Also, she now has just the tiniest little inkling of what it feels like to be treated like a threat all the time. I guess she didn't like the feeling.

So hes protecting himself from potential problems, and its "super insulting" but women protecting themselves from "gendered" violence despite evidence showing men and women are equally violent isnt insulting.

It seems men merely existing is now insulting to these.misandrinist femcels.

I am struggling to understand why she was offended by this professor's actions or how this being his takeaway from the MeToo movement is a bad thing. Surely making it clear to everyone else in the department that nothing he is doing or saying to students in his office will warrant accusations of any type of misconduct would be a good thing that puts people at ease, no? It could be argued that "accusations from female students" is less than stellar phrasing of his justifications, but I fail to see anything wrong with what he actually did.
