Would greatly appreciate a feedback, insight, opinion from more experienced bros !
For context, I've been through a traumatic breakup some couple years ago and I have been battling with the idea of cold approaching for almost a year now, and a major part of the obstacles for me were mental health issues + unfortunate periods of isolation.
So for the first 15 attempts, magnified with my isolation at the time, a part me would just put too much stake in the approach, which will leave me freezing at the possibility of failure when I see a cute chick.
Recently though, I've been putting a good amount work into other areas of my life to shift my mindset into a more growth-oriented one, one that celebrates effort for its own sake rather than the outcome, and I tried to incorporate it into my outlook about encounters and seduction.
Leading us to today, where despite not really talking to a girl, I felt like my mental composition is less neurotic than usual and this is thanks to two things that contributed into my mindset shit :
- I don't need any girl in the world. I'd love to have sex with said girl but in no way am I desperate for it. (Show someone you're desperate to obtain something and you're automatically shunned away, it's vital to not be desperate)
- The outcome doesn't matter, the only metric is to do an encounter. (This is something I knew for a long time but only recently did it click with me)
I know that this doesn't feel like much, but I believe in celebrating micro-achievements.
I'm planning to go back tomorrow, I know it will work out eventually.
P.S : I live in a conservative city in a Muslim country so there isn't really a culture of bar alleys, nightclubs or similar places to meet people, at least not in this city per se
