The second they engage it becomes admissible in court. I don't agree with it, but that's how it's always been and why everyone tells these people to stop doing this shit. They CAN set up a meeting place and then turn it over to police. If police have the evidence before that point and do the sting themselves, it will work, but they refuse to do that because then they can't record it, upload it and make money off it. These people are not good Samaritans, they are grifters after money and letting pdf files get away with it and learn how to be safer next time.

I am sure there are a few good volunteer groups that do this and we don't know about them because they turn it in and don't engage at a meetup spot or upload footage, but we obviously wouldn't know about them. People like this should not be praised, though, it's because of them that pdf files get away.

Chris Hansen only worked because he worked WITH police. They set up the sting and they just let him come in for an interview. He didn't record his show and then upload it and call them later, it wouldn't have worked.
