I (28m) can talk to women just fine, mostly because I'm older and no longer a scared teenager/early 20's. Although, I'm still that scared kid while in nightclubs.
I can often make small talk, crack a joke, receive a laugh/smile etc. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say my social skills are around 7.
However, I lost my virginity at 24, haven't got laid in 4 years and never once come close to being in a relationship.
I'm an okay looking guy, but not Tinder levels of handsome. Honestly, attractive women receive so much attention from super handsome men, I've got no chance.
Despite doing hundreds of "cold approaches" throughout my everyday life, I'm still no further forward. I'm therefore confused on what y'all consider cold approach, because for me, practice isn't making perfect.
