I have just met a girl and started talking to her. So far, she mentioned her boyfriend in one of our conversation and I ignored it by not acknowledging it or paying attention to it. Fast forward to this morning after the common exchange of "Hi", here's how the conversation went:

Her: I would rather be in bed right now

Me: yeah all by yourself rolling around

Her: My boyfriend is still sleeping though

Me: You should kick him out of the bed and keep it to yourself

Her: Laugh...

Now I know this is not the best way to handle this because I should have ignored what she said.

Why would a girl you just met casually mention her boyfriend in a conversation? What are her intentions?
