"In the age of promiscuity, women have more sexual partners than men" - can you even find a loyal woman with a low n-count who hasn't slept around these days? I'm getting less and less confident that that's even possible.

A plate texted me "I'm thinking you can do better than me." How the heck do I respond to this?

One of my friends on Facebook, a strong feminist, just posted this picture and it received a ton of likes. Stuff like this pisses me off.

"Yup"

Then change the subject. Winning = attractive.

And she is going to want to stay with someone who just disregarded a serious question she had for someone she cares about?

And she is going to want to stay with someone who just disregarded a serious question she had for someone she cares about?

She wants a high status male with complete confidence in himself and indifference to her. The only way to be attractive to women is to constantly present yourself as better than them, more attractive than them, and that also means less invested than she is.

[–]hungrywolf922 points 10 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Do you want more with her, or do you just want a good time with her? Have you made it clear to her, in either direction?

If you just want fun and nothing serious, tell her. She'll either stick around and try harder because she wants to convince you if she wants more, re-evaluate and remain your fwb until you finds someone who will commit, or move on.

If you see yourself as valuable and want to be congruent to your desires, then just be honest. If you need to lie or mislead a woman to keep her around, then I don't know if that really makes you more of a desirable person or "real man" or very "red pill". Not saying that is your intention, just logically touching on the other side.

Good luck!

That actually is not a childish question. There is a difference between emotional and irrational things a woman can say if she's upset, and a simple question when she sees she's investing in someone because she is on a different page than them.

Also, how can he physically give her a hug if this is a text message?

What are you talking about?

I think you're taking her question out of context because of your mind set, and it's affecting your ability to give clear advice.

You also make very generalized statements, like: "Women are children they babble on with silly shit like this."

And why is it silly for her to shoot from the hip and tell this guy her impression so she can understand whether or not they are on the same page?

I agree that sometimes women can behave irrationally and very emotionally, but from what OP has presented, she just wants to know where she stands and to know whether or not she is on the same page and decide from there. You're advocating for the OP to ignore her attempt to communicate to understand because all women are children? It doesn't make sense.

I'm a man, I've been following The Red Pill since it started, and just FYI, I am very familiar with the side bar. :)

Also, I'm not sure why instead of discussing this with me logically and being objective, you are avoiding my opinion and basis for it, and rather trying to invalidate my logic by calling me a woman and telling me I don't have a right to advise. It's kind of cute the way you believe you are in a position to advise and that you understand Red Pill Philosophy, yet you already lost frame and are attacking me and getting upset while trying to assert your point. And according to you, I am not familiar with this subreddit at all, so I might not be sure about this, but isn't the term for your behavior "beta"?

You are advocating that he take her words with a negative connotation, assume the worst in her, and respond based on assumptions. How is that stoicism or maintaining frame?

For example, if he answers her honestly, and she loses her shit, then it is up to him to maintain frame, or succumb and lose ground. He can also decide if he wants to maintain effort or interaction with her, or move on. It's up to OP to decide. And it is also up to OP to be an adult and be able to communicate with people calmly and securely, rather than have to be concerned and assume the worse. That is where he can apply red pill philosophy. You shouldn't apply a philosophy based on assumption.

Also, you are not OP and you don't know this woman, so I think you're taking a rather extreme leap to assume what she meant over text. There is no tone or context to provide us with enough information for you to assume that.

You are also telling the OP to not show her respect or act like an adult. Being a real man, or "alpha", isn't about having to constantly make assumptions and protect yourself by assuming and using deflecting any sort of communication or realistic situations in dating or just human to human interaction.

Frankly, going to great lengths to avoid these issues, and being quick to assume, is a childish trait and kinda pathetic.

Being red pill is being able to handle a situation rather than deflecting it prior to being even aware of what it is. If he tells her where he stands, and she has an issue, then he will know, and she will know, and he can choose whether to be emotionally effected by it, or make effort for her. But you're telling him to avoid communication and essentially turn a blind eye. That's not dealing with life or reality.

If you disagree with my opinion, that's fine, but I don't see why your response to my respect to you and logic is to say "You are in no position to be giving advice", rather than to actually explain to me why I am in no position, or why you know better. An opinion is an opinion. No one is forcing you to take mine, but I think you need to be a bit more objective and not so gung-ho.

Thank you :)

Again, you're failing to respond to my logic, and you're trying to insult me more, while making assumptions. Rather than insulting others and trying to feel better about yourself that way, why don't you focus on yourself to improve and grow?

You don't think her issue with investment is going to come up again? It will. And she will cause more turbulence for him as her frustration grows, and it will bother her in the back of her mind. It will also make her as his plate more short-lived.

Also, why waste time? He answers her honestly. End of story. If she isn't okay with it, she will move on. If she is, she will stay. There are other women, and OP isn't emotionally invested.

This isn't worth my time. If you can actually respond to my points logically and objectively, I will keep an open mind and listen. If you can't muster that, don't bother.

[–]FarfromaHero40 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Alternatively. Agree and amplify. Tell her it is that way. Then list things you'd like her to do as incentive 'to be more invested'. Work her to your favor. Even if it turns out you lose her on this, it is because you're too high value to get more involved

Ahh, good point. Yes, pay more attention to her actions, not words. And true, working to hard appears desperate. I've taken to talking openly with plates or potential plates about my harem. I don't really give much of a fuck if one walks away, because harem is waiting.

"Well, perhaps you need to put more effort into managing your portfolio, I have multiple stocks that I trade on, so I'm not fully committed to one if it should tank."

This is a double meaning reply.. it lets her know that you understand she is talking about relationships, but that you refuse to feed the hamster. It also lets her know that she is only ONE of the "stocks" in your portfolio, and that you have others if things don't work out with her.

As a side note, don't feed the hamster. Those are her feelings and she needs to deal with them.
