I don't think Andy Warhol was a great person most especially how he mistreated women based on my memory but Valerie Solanas isn't better either considering this woman is mentally unstable and I get this is mostly due to her upbringing if I'm not mistaken she was sexually abused by her father but even if she shot Andy and he somehow survived the bullet shot and after reading her summary about her work that showcased how this woman really is stuck behind her trauma and decided to unleash her hatred against every man, I don't think Valerie is something worth praising or worshipping for by feminists since a part of me wished this woman should at least get help for her mental health and it just seems sad to see her this way and I don't understand why radfems and some feminists think she's an icon when in reality she's a deeply broken and abused woman. I'm not defending both of these two people most especially Andy despite his contribution to his iconic artworks, but no artist is perfect either, since I've seen this story of this case back in 2024, if I missed something pls remind me, I'm just giving my thoughts onto this.

Edit: People can downvote this all they want but I acknowledged that both of these people are not good people at the end of the day. Whether people may debate if Andy deserved to be asassinated or not doesn't mean his actions is not exempt from criticism. I can like his contribution to his impact in Art History most especially it's thought by teachers in College doesn't mean I ignore the things he did. The same can be said for Valerie's harmful ideologies of wanting full genocide of men due to her unhealed trauma from her past and she's not worth praising for considering there are some feminists who are divided over her as a person and conflicted if she really is worthy of being praised for being a feminist or not.
