Now, as it often says in books like How To Win Friends & Influence People and The Charisma Myth, interrupting is not the way to charisma (obviously this changes in conflict).

I'll be in a group conversation and make it clear to noticeably validate what people are saying but not go over-the-top with it. I got the idea from here and the moment I speak everyone generally goes silent to listen because I don't do as often as others.

Sometimes others interrupt when I'm about to start and then others will tell them to shut up because they're genuinely curious on what I was about to say. Should I generally push back and continue to say what I was saying, or take the passive route of letting them interrupt me and keep the curiosity on me rather than the other?
