Look up requirements for common law marriage, never ever meet those requirements and be able to prove it.

before you move in with anyone (male or female); make sure you sign a cohabitation agreement with them. this will keep them from claiming "common law marriage" later on if they end up being psycho.

It depends on the laws of where you live.

She can accuse you of DV. Get you kicked out of your own home and then live there herself rent free until you finally get it all sorted out.
If you live together long enough she can claim you are common law husband and wife and then "divorce" you and sue for alimony and property division.
You don't really get to choose whether you have kids. Unless you get a vasectomy or have perfect usage of condoms then you only get to express an opinion but she decides.
She lives with you but does she pull her weight? Does she pay half for everything? By living with you she becomes your dependent. Sooner or later her lower income (and women say they make 78% of what men make) will fall short and she will expect you to make up the difference. Even if you maintain frame and keep separate accounts she will continue to needle you and chip away at your resolve until you decide it's just easier to give her some money or pay her way.
You both probably have different ways you like to keep your home. You may not be able to eat the food or decorate the house the way you like. Living someone is the first of many terrible compromises.

Aside from the common law marriage stuff, know that you're also probably stuck living with her for a bit if you break up. Unless you want to move out... But it's very difficult to legally kick someone else out if they don't want to leave.
