I have established a healthy workout routine, but I plateau because I'm not as committed as I should be to eating healthy. Today it slapped me upside the head that this is entirely my fault and I am going to change it.

I'm incredibly busy and rarely at home. I'm going to start to meal prep and bring a cooler with me wherever I go so that I have no excuse to keep eating the crap that I keep eating. (read: exorbitant amounts of Chick-fil-a). I need some guidance in affordable, nutrient dense meals to prep. Honestly, if there's a legit, simple weekly meal plan, please just link me to that and I'll start following that and modify from there. Please advise (or link me to other posts/sites) that will help me in this endeavor.

Macros:

  • Can anyone link me to a good macro calculator that they would recommend? I need to sit down and actually figure out portions.

How often to eat:

  • Is it better to eat 3x a day with intermittent fasting, or eat 5-6x a day?

Protein: chicken breast, eggs, fish (rarely), random meats from time to time (beef/pork)

  • Is this the best way to go, or should I eat a larger ratio of fish?

Carbs: brown rice, veggies

  • What are the best veggies to eat? (top 5 or so)

  • Should I skip the rice and just load up on more protein/veggies?

Fats: unsalted cashews/almonds, avocado when I can get my hands on it

  • What are some other healthy, affordable fats? Unsalted nuts and avocados are pricy.

Meal prep:

  • How many days in advance should I meal prep?

  • Should I be doing this once a week or twice a week?

Nutrients:

  • What vitamins/supplements do you recommend taking daily?

Goal: To develop healthy, nutrient dense eating habits that result in gains + fat loss. I'm 6'2'' hovering around 200lbs right now. I'd like to see how cut I can get by summer.

If anyone is willing to open up a conversation with me via message and guide me through this for a bit, I'd be very grateful. I can give more details (exactly what I'm eating currently, workout regimen, etc.)

Thank you in advance.
