So my (18M) long term friend(18M) and I regularly see the same people (whom we've all met only recently)
For the sake of objectivity (we're great mates), I'm superior to him in 95% of aspects in life. I work (he doesn't), I attend college doing a good course (he's doing nothing), my physique is better, i'm taller, i'm more confident, i'm very self aware and don't miss social cue's like he does (says silly even cringey things for e.g) i'm better looking, anything we've ever done; sports, music, video games, I am far superior to him. My problem lies with how girls respond to him.
[i don't act cocky or over confident in real life, i'm just aware of these things and am rather humble in person. he also doesn't appear to feel contested by me at all, we're good friends]
Although they tend to be really receptive towards me when him and I are together (eating food with them for example) (e.g. they compliment my appearance, face, body) they seem to make more efforts to befriend him whenever we see them next. (adding him on media sites, initiating convo's with him) I don't think their intentions are to date him but because they they seem to prefer initiating conversation with him (despite how much better i am, objectively),
What can I do? I'm willing to answer questions in depth to know how to go about this.. For me I just guess it boils down to is that they feel more comfortable talking to him than me (possibly intimidation). Although improbable, what could I do even if that were the case?
edit: lil about our personalities, i'm rather articulate, calm and collected when talking. funny and witty but can come across as 'smug'. don't like superficial convo's too much (generic stuff)
my friend's rather simple, is unaware socially (type of guy that copies peoples opinions on things, repeats memes). hes always easy to be with, as due to the aforementioned, you can almost always relate to him. isnt too witty but always has a good laugh and keeps the vibes going. not much of a thinker, taps into his emotions quite often. (feminine tendencies)
