I'll be 100% honest, I suck at texting people... I can talk to a chick in person near flawlessly because I'm able to read their facial expressions, able to make stupid little jokes about myself or our surroundings, and it helps that a woman can tell I'm making a stupid joke that can't be taken the wrong way.

A conversation over text message? No

If a woman doesn't understand my humor (over text message) then I'm stuck dead in the water and might as well give up/kill the conversation and never talk again.

How do I talk to women then in this tiny ass town?

All the times I've tried to get a date together without 'texting' to get to know the chick better (even if we had a class together in highschool and/or went to a small party together).

It's like if I don't text a woman for 2-3 weeks consistently for her to better understand me then I might as well be some jerkoff from facebook.

I walk all over this town (I have to, I can't drive), I know all the "hangout" spots, and its purely just little groups of friends hanging out at each other's houses. There is no 'social' place to hangout at to meet anybody.

How would I get over this? Learn how to text people? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
